The cost of a yacht wedding in Abu Dhabi is built from three parts: the boat's hourly rate, the number of hours you charter, and a one-off wedding package supplement that covers the decoration and the cake. Everything else, from catering to a photographer, is a service you add and pay for separately. We do not print figures in articles because rates are updated by the owner and each boat page calculates the live package price for your hours and date. What this guide does is explain what moves the number up or down, so you can make the choices that matter before you look at any boat page.

The three parts of the price

1. The hourly rate of the boat. Each of the thirteen boats has its own rate, which includes the captain, the crew and fuel for the agreed route. As a rule the larger-capacity boats have higher hourly rates than the intimate ones, but layout and finish matter too, so two boats with the same capacity may not be priced the same.
2. The hours you book. Two is the minimum on every boat, three on Miss Kim House Boat. Each extra hour adds one more hourly rate to the total, nothing else.
3. The wedding package supplement. A single amount added on top of the hourly total. It covers the wedding decoration (arch, aisle, florals, table styling, lighting as agreed) and the wedding cake. It is not charged per guest and it does not change with the number of hours.

Driver one: which boat you choose

The boat is the largest single decision. The right way to choose is to fix your real guest count first and then look only at boats that fit it, because paying for capacity you will not use is the most common way couples overspend. The fleet runs from 15 to 40 guests:

• 15 to 16 guests: Marina Villa, Al Maharia S, Maya Luxury Boat, 68 Ft Super Yacht.

Driver two: how many hours

Hours are the lever you control most directly. A two-hour charter covers boarding, a cruise to the backdrop, the ceremony, the cake and the return. Three hours adds a real reception with a meal. Four hours adds sunset portraits and dancing and a lit return. If budget is tight, the honest advice is to cut hours before you cut the guest list: a two-hour wedding on the right boat with everyone you love on board is a better day than a four-hour one with half of them missing.

Driver three: what you add yourself

The package does not include catering, photography, videography, music or an officiant. These are personal choices and their cost depends on who you hire. Broadly, the lines to budget for are:

• Catering: canapés and platters for a two-hour charter, or a served meal for three hours or more. The galley on board is for plating and cold storage, so food arrives prepared.
• Photographer and videographer: usually booked by the hour, matched to the charter length plus boarding.
• Music: a playlist through the boat's sound system costs nothing extra; a DJ or live musician is a separate booking.
• Officiant or family elder: a personal arrangement; the boat is the celebration venue.
• Guest transport: a shared minibus from one hotel to the marina is worth budgeting for larger groups.

What is already in the price that you would pay for elsewhere

When couples compare a yacht wedding with a hall, they often forget how many separate invoices a hall produces. On the boat, the following are inside the package price and are not billed again:

• The venue itself, exclusively yours for the hours booked.
• Captain, crew and service on deck.
• Fuel for the agreed route.

Ways to keep the cost sensible without losing the day

1. Right-size the boat. Book for your confirmed count, not a hopeful one.
2. Book the hours you will use. Two hours for a ceremony and cake; three if there is a meal; four only if you want a full evening.
3. Check your actual date on the boat page. The page shows the rate for the date you select, so compare dates there rather than assuming.
4. Use the boat's sound system for a playlist if music is not central.
5. Keep catering matched to the hours. A seated meal on a two-hour charter is money spent on food nobody has time to eat.
6. Let the package do the styling. The decoration and cake are included; adding outside decorators duplicates what is already paid for.

Is the deposit part of the price or extra?
