Sixty-two feet with a cap of eighteen guests means everyone can see the vows from where they are sitting, and nobody ends up standing at the back. The Layout The covered aft deck with its wraparound seating is where the ceremony usually happens: the couple stand with open water behind them and the guests sit facing them. Below it is an air-conditioned saloon with soft seating and a table, which is where the wedding cake is set up and where older guests stay cool between photographs. The foredeck is kept clear for the flower arch and for the shots that need nothing in the frame but the two of you. Sailing From The Tecno leaves from Al Bateen Marina, a few minutes from the Corniche, and the usual route runs past Emirates Palace and Etihad Towers before turning along the Corniche skyline. Yas Marina departures can be arranged instead if most of your guests are coming from Yas Island. Included In The Package The package covers two hours with the captain and crew, the wedding decoration installed on board before you step on, and the wedding cake. Extra hours are charged at the yacht's hourly rate only — the decoration and the cake are a one-off, so a longer charter does not double them. Planning The Time Two hours is enough for a short ceremony, the cake and photographs. If you want the vows at sunset and a real cruise afterwards, book three hours and board about ninety minutes before sunset. The light on Emirates Palace at that hour is the reason most couples move their booking earlier once they see it.
